We are seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our Home Office team! The Payroll Coordinator will report to the Payroll Manager and is responsible for the preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll transactions, payroll taxes and employee benefit payments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll
Process Alternating Biweekly and Weekly payrolls
Import change files and validate for accuracy in preparation for payroll
Reconcile changes throughout payroll process confirming no unexpected changes
Working the email box when not processing to keep payroll up to date (can be up to 20 emails within a short period)
Process NACHA files and send to vendor to ensure proper payments
Process Tax, Garnishment, vendor, and GL exports
Review all exports for accuracy and send to necessary vendors
Reconciliation of Cash to payroll for certain items
Answer questions on various recons produced
Process off cycle pay cards and terminations for the field
Open off cycle payments as needed for quarter end and special pay
Process changes in work location at field request
Work on process improvement and maintain good working relationship with remaining payroll team
Previous payroll experience at the corporate level with multi-state locations.
Experience with payroll system required - Dayforce heavily preferred
Technical accounting skills required
Ability to work as a team player and understand business processes and objectives.
Clear understanding of multi-state and federal payroll regulations, including tax and OT laws.
Auditing experience strongly Required
Strong work ethic coupled with the ability to handle confidential information.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational ability required handling multiple priorities and unexpected interruptions - the ability to multi-task is essential.
Proven customer service skills are required to create, maintain, and enhance customer relationships.
Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to identify process improvements by identifying issues, process delays and quality problems, and recommend solutions
Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrates strong knowledge of all core HR (Human Resources) functions as well as accounting.
Possesses a sound and current understanding of local, state, and federal employment and tax law.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
HRIS Experience Required
Knowledge of General Ledger and Cash flow process
Possesses excellent communication skills; written, verbal, listening
Possesses a non-negotiable level of integrity
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to support the ongoing management and administration of benefits and compensation programs
Knowledge in benefits and compensation administration and related laws and regulations, including but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, ADA, COBRA, EEO, and FLSA, PPACA
Superior time management and project management skills
Strong written and interpersonal skills can present complex material to employees and mid- and senior-level management.
Demonstrates proficiency in: UltiPro HRIS software, UKG Dimensions Time and attendance, Yardi Software, MS Office
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and job experience
FPC or CPP certification preferred.
