As the Payroll Coordinator, you will administer company payroll processing and reporting activities to provide employees with accurate and timely payment of wages due, in compliance with state and federal laws.
What you'll be doing:
* Process company payroll for domestic locations. Includes accurate entry of all necessary data, running batch processing routines and the printing and mailing of physical checks and/or direct deposit notices.
* Work with international locations and third-party vendors to process international payroll.
* Data entry of certain voluntary and mandatory payroll earnings and deductions. Includes reconciling earnings and deductions and making sure payments are made to third parties accordingly.
* Maintain relationship with company supervisors to aid in resolution of problems.
* Train new supervisors on time and attendance policies and procedures.
* Maintain shop floor time and attendance system by entering adjustments as needed.
* Interpret appropriate company policies affecting payroll activities, using supervisor and human resources department for guidance.
* Assist employees with payroll questions or special requests.
* System maintenance for production workforce moves.
* Provide payroll data to outside sources such as credit agencies, child support agencies, banks, rental properties, etc.. as required by law or authorized by the employee.
* Process off-cycle payroll when necessary.
* Assist with payroll process documentation.
What you should have:
* 2-4 years of relevant work experience in payroll required.
* 2 Year / Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
* Proficient Microsoft Office product experience.
