POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the managing and overseeing the payroll processes for Christ Community Health Services (CCHS). The Payroll Coordinator must ensure that employees' wages are paid accurately and in a timely manner according to CCHS policies and in accordance to labor laws, taxes and employee benefit programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for the following payroll processes using CCHS payroll software:
* Review biweekly time cards collected from managers.
* Verify all employees' time, pay rates, and deductions as appropriate.
* Tally and verify for accuracy biweekly time sheets
* Prepare data for Payroll information transmittal for approval to supervisor and payroll services.
* Transmit payroll data to payroll service.
* Review and distribute payroll checks to supervisors and/or other authorized employees
* Maintain all payroll related files according to record retention guidelines set by CCHS
* Assist in preparing all payroll related journal entries.
* Prepare reports and checks for all payroll deductions such as annuities, loans, garnishments, etc.
* Assist in annual audits as directed (i.e. 401(k), financial audit and work comp)
* Perform other duties as assigned.

License or Certification: None
Education Required: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency, plus at least 2 years of College or Business School with a major in Bookkeeping or Accounting - or relevant comparable experience.
Experience and/or Skills Required: At least two years of actual experience in Payroll and Bookkeeping, preferably in a health or related field Knowledge of computers, including
Windows Software.
