LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable Louisville, KY client to identify a Payroll Director for their growing team. This is a newly created role within the team with a heavy emphasis on processing, system management/implementation and leadership of junior staff. The ideal candidate will offer a roll up their sleeves type of attitude and be a proactive solution focused leader.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll process for 4,000+ employees including data input, calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, and distribution of payments.
- Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure success.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations, ensuring compliance and reporting.
- Prepare and review payroll reports for accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll budgets and forecasts.
- Act as a leader on system management, implementation and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 5+ years of leadership experience- Senior or Director level.
- System implementation experience.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Additional Details:
- Hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days in office
- $100-130k
