*This position is based in our Moses Lake office in a hybrid capacity*
The Payroll/HRIS specialist is responsible for managing the UKG application and the payroll process for the entire organization including system upgrades, staff support and training and customized application solutions. The Payroll/HRIS specialist is also responsible for ensuring that payroll is processed accurate, and necessary taxes are filed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Reconciles timekeeping activity to payroll amounts per payroll.
- Compiles federal and state tax amounts and remits as required by law.
- Prepares Flexible Spending, garnishment and child support reports and gives to A/P for payment.
- Export GL file from timekeeping software into accounting software and balance to payroll reports.
- Provides support to past and current employees for retirement plan inquiries and transactions.
- Accurate and timely preparation of quarterly tax reports and annual W-2's.
- Tests processes to ensure integrity of software program.
- Implements changes/upgrades to HRIS software program following the PDSA cycle.
- Develops training materials, processes and procedures as needed.
- Participates in pre-deployment and post-deployment project planning.
Requirements
- Possesses advanced level general skills, including written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree program.
- Performance of the duties and responsibilities of the job requires the equivalent of formal training in applications, usually in the form of a major in IT as part of a Bachelor's Degree program.
- Ability to read and speak Spanish and/or Russian preferred but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver's license as required.
- Ability to effectively use job-related systems software to their full capability and perform complex/advanced functions.
