Job Description:
We are searching for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will be responsible for managing the payroll function, as well as ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple hotel locations in multiple states. In this role you will work closely with our Corporate Finance Team, the Hotel Managers and Human Resources. The position will provide guidance, support, training and compliance with state and federal wage and hour rules and regulations. The position will also have advanced UKG systems knowledge and be able to troubleshoot complex payroll issues and have experience working with and filing returns with state and federal agencies. To be successful in this role, the chosen candidate will have previous experience managing multi-state complex payrolls, preferably in hospitality or a related industry using UKG. General Responsibilities: Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions Process multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all hotels Compliance with applicable federal, state and local payroll and wage and hour regulations Partner with hotels, providing support for payroll issues that arise; timely problem resolution Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates Prepare and maintain accurate records and reporting of payroll transactions to ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws, statutory reporting and filing requirements. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates Identify opportunities for process improvements, to increase efficiency and accuracy Support other regulatory activities as needed, including local, state, IRS, and workers compensation audits Maintain payroll vendor relationships; work with payroll vendors to troubleshoot issues and to resolve challenges.
