Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee Payroll department and Full Cycle Payroll Process for 750+ employees
  • Maintain payroll operations by training/instructing employees in proper use of payroll-related systems
  • Provide exemplary customer service with a sense of urgency
  • Prepare accounting GL/cash transfer and all payroll related reports
  • Prioritize and complete diverse tasks with little supervision
  • Review payroll files for accuracy
  • Accurately and efficiently manage data in spreadsheets and payroll system
  • Responsible for payroll audits and payroll compliance (including local, state, and federal taxes)
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining reports in the reporting software
Qualifications
  • College degree preferred; high school diploma required; CPP a PLUS
  • 10+ years of payroll experience; general ledger and allocations experience in multifamily property management and construction strongly preferred
  • Experience with Payroll Law, multi-state payroll, multiple payrolls, full cycle payroll, and payroll tax; bonuses and commissions a plus
  • Skilled in UKG preferably (Ultimate software); strong Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, index match); easily learn new systems
  • Attention to detail, accurate and efficient data entry, organized, flexibility and accommodating
  • Strong communication, team spirited, and passionate about payroll
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Prioritize and complete diverse tasks with little supervision
