Vaco Boston is seeking a strong Payroll Manager. This individual will oversee and manage the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate payment to all employees • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other related information • Manage payroll schedules and ensure compliance with pay policies • Process all status changes, terminations and time off requests • Oversee payroll software and systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and are up to date • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to Finance / HR which include analysis for management on labor costs, overtime trends and compliance. • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve any discrepancies • Ensure payroll operations comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including tax regulations and wage and hour laws • Work with payroll processor to file tax reports (e.g., quarterly and annual filings) and ensure proper payment of taxes • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations and implement necessary changes in payroll processes • Prepare and file all Worker's Comp / Disability audits, claims or incident reports Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field • Minimum of five (7) years of payroll experience; 3 years in supervisory role • In-depth knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and employment laws • Proficiency in payroll software (Workday) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Vaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
