We are looking for a Payroll Manager who will play a vital role in safeguarding the financial well-being and compliance of our organization and ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. This position will take charge of our payroll functions. The primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely payment of payroll expenses and taxes. Supervising our dedicated payroll team and collaborating with professionals from various departments will be key aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate is analytical, methodical, and experienced in payroll administration. A deep understanding of payroll regulations in multiple states is crucial. And their goal will be to maintain compliance, streamline payroll procedures for efficiency, and stay updated with current regulations and best practices.

What You Will Do:

* Lead regional alignment & payroll integration by understanding local payroll practice in AZ, CA, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, MI, NC, TX, WA, WI.

* Manage payroll team, responsible for weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing in several states and ensure rollout of the payroll team objectives and goals as outlined by the Director of Human Resources and SVP of Human Resources in line with the local Finance structure and vision of the company.

* Assist with interpretation and completion of activities related to pay policies, calculations, processes to support accuracy and compliance of payroll.

* Drive process to review, design, and document payroll processes.

* Create and maintain updated departments SOP's.

* Act as a liaison between Payroll and Finance.

* Manage payroll and benefit related vendors to ensure effective and efficient delivery of service level agreement.

* Responsible for creating, reviewing and distributing various payroll reports to support financial projections, audits, HR reviews or compliance issues.

* Review, analyze and check payroll reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments or corrections through journal entries or other established procedures.

* Prepare payroll reports as needed for ad-hoc purposes and corresponding general ledger input.

* Manag weekly and bi-weekly payroll process to ensure all employees are paid on time and in accordance with current tax and other regulations.

* Utilize the payroll reports, always encourage best practice within the team, with a view to maximizing efficiency and ensuring consistency.

* Complete Payroll Audits weekly to confirm accuracy.

* Assist with payroll salary audits for FSLA and minimum wages.

* Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.

* Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.

* Is subject matter expert on prevailing wages.

* Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Special Payroll projects as needed.

What You Will Bring:

* Bachelor's degree or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional).

* Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in the states of AZ, CA, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, MI, NC, TX, WA, WI.

* ADP Workforce Now system experience required.

* Previous experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll preferred.

* Construction experience is a plus.

* Supervisory/Management experience needed.

* Ability to confidently communicate in written and verbal format to all levels of the organization.

* Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven, changing environment.

* Must be proficient in MS Excel and database/query skills.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

* Ability to perform all office activities typically expected in an office setting, including:

* Remaining seated for extended periods.

* Engaging in computer work.

* Participating in filing tasks.

* Lifting and carrying office supplies (up to 25 pounds).

* Regularly required to talk and hear while performing job duties.

* Fine hand manipulation skills (such as keyboarding).

* Exposure to general office conditions during work.

* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
