Join us today! The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise payroll and benefit functions. This role ensures pay and benefits are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. They will oversee workflows and optimize technology related to payroll, benefits, and HR data while maintaining responsibility for accurate and current data in the company's HRIS platform. - Manage full-cycle processing of bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees. Provide accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, wage and hour laws, and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of employee pay records and ensure accurate tax reporting and YTD earnings.
- Manage the benefit administration including communication with brokers, carriers, team members, and our payroll provider. Support HR with benefits open enrollment and HRIS system updates based on annual changes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries on payroll and benefits and provide excellent customer service, ensuring all payroll errors are handled timely and professionally. Manage the HRIS system to ensure the system contains up-to-date and accurate data.
RequirementsWhat You Need to Succeed...
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, human resources, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with multi-state payroll required.
- 5+ years of GL accounting knowledge required.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes required.
- Knowledge of Real Estate and property management industries preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Proficiency with payroll software, Paylocity experience preferred but not required.
- CPP license/certificate preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven professional who leads by example.
- Ability to be discreet with confidential/sensitive information.
- Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
