Job Description We are seeking a skilled Payroll Manager who will manage and configure ADP Workforce Now, including payroll, benefits, and time tracking. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of handling payroll processing, benefit administration, and data analysis for a medium-sized company.
Responsibilities - Coordinate and process company-wide payroll biweekly, adhering to local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for HCM data, system configuration, business process configuration, and reporting.
- Analyze compensation-related data, including salary ranges.
- Update salary ranges for salaried and hourly positions for accurate compensation ratio analysis.
- Ensure data analysis accuracy and completeness for global manpower reporting.
- Manage employee and manager self-service features.
- Process status changes and updates in the ADP system.
- Work with ADP representatives to understand analytics within the ADP system.
- Maintain employee benefit files and other records.
- Configure ADP cloud document and management.
- Provide support to plant HR personnel on benefit/payroll functions.
- Process open enrollment benefit plan transfers and provide support to online benefit administration for plant employees.
- Maintain vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
- Assist in the reporting and analysis of employee utilization of current benefits and develop specific recommendations for management review.
- Track leave of absence approvals and rejections through third parties.
- Respond to notifications from state agencies regarding unemployment claims filed by former employees.
- Issue annual individual summary of benefits to employees.
- Serve as an administrator for Certify and work with accounting to reconcile payroll expenses.
- Train plant HR and managers on new ADP features and changes.
- Troubleshoot clock issues dealing with time and attendance with ADP representatives.
- Responsible for COBRA administration and maintenance.
Essential Skills - Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in payroll for medium-sized companies (200-500 employees).
- Corporate HQ payroll experience, especially biweekly payroll processing.
- Strong computer and database skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Understanding of corporate policies and compliance.
- Team player with the ability to be firm when needed.
- Precise attention to detail and accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field with at least 4 years of experience in HRIS, payroll, IT, HCM configuration, benefit administration, etc.
- Minimum of four years' experience using payroll software and processing payroll.
- Minimum of 3 years of configuration and payroll processing experience with ADP Workforce Now or a combination of similar systems.
- Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team-driven philosophies.
- Ability to support corporate interests at remote site locations with strong communication and people skills.
Work Environment This is a full-time, in-office position with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with potentially shorter days on Fridays (6 hours).
