Join our team to Make the Difference by creating a lasting positive impact on the world and the communities where we operate.We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll administration for U.S. and Canada. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday payroll and ADP Smart Compliance. This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance expertise, and the ability to support our employees effectively.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, province and local regulations.
  • Review and approve Canada and U.S. payroll registers for semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.
  • Manage 401k audits and worker's comp audits.
  • Manage Leave of Absences.
  • Produce budget reports for the finance department.
  • Review benefits invoices and approve for payment.
  • Lead and oversee the implementation and ongoing management of Workday Payroll, optimizing system functionality to streamline payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll records, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on payroll and benefits inquiries, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation to ensure compliance and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain payroll reports, metrics, and dashboards for leadership review.
  • Supervise the payroll team and delivery necessary trainings.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in payroll administration, with specific experience in Workday Payroll implementation.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or related certification.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced or startup environment.
