Salary Range: $22.00 to $25.00 an hour By adhering to Connecticut State Law, pay ranges are posted. The pay rate will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge of position and comparison to others who are already in this role within the company. We are a medium sized company with a family atmosphere. PACT MSO Central Business Office is looking for a Payroll Associate to work in our Branford office location. This position enters data into any and all databases including but not limited EMR, vendors, carriers, etc.This is a part time position.The schedule on Payroll Weeks will be Monday 12:00pm to 5:00pm, Tuesday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am to 1:00pm and Thursday 9:00am to 12:00pm.The schedule on Non Payroll Weeks will be Tuesday 9:00am to 12:00pm and Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm. Summary This position is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining payroll and related data across multiple systems, including but not limited to UKG (UltiPro), vendors, and carriers. Essential Functions
  • Compile, prepare, and process payroll for two (2) companies.
  • Run pre- and post-processing payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Accountant to maintain and update payroll records.
  • Review and approve changes to employee profiles and payroll master files.
  • Process manual checks as needed.
  • Work with HR to manage employee data, including benefit deductions, data mapping, and data flow.
  • Ensure accuracy of all payroll earnings, deductions, and taxes before submitting for processing, and balance payroll reports with spreadsheets.
  • Calculate and process garnishments as required.
  • Handle quarterly payroll tax filing compliance.
  • Maintain payroll master files and ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze payroll data, create reports, and manage payroll-related spreadsheets.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries, including tax forms, direct deposits, and deductions.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage 401(k) loan processes and address employee inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Finance Manager.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, best practices, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience with UKG (UltiPro) or similar payroll software, including pay codes, deductions, taxes, master files, data flow, and report generation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding payroll and personnel matters.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience processing payroll independently.
