Payroll Specialist - CorporatePosition SummaryThis position performs related duties to ensure centralized payroll functions are complying with all state and federal laws.Core ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities described in this section are fundamental to success in this position.
- Act as an advocate for team members and for the Company.
- Build and maintain a positive relationship with team members and management.
- Prepares, reviews, and processes semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls timely and correctly.
- Ensures the integrity of each payroll and maintains accurate payroll records.
- Reviews and audits payroll information submitted by each entity to ensure its accuracy.
- Uses independent judgement to identify, research, and resolve payroll issues.
- Prepare multiple reports.
- Maintains and processes garnishments in a timely manner.
- Submits 401(k) reports in a timely manner.
- Maintains general ledger setup for each entity.
- Generates reports for internal payroll audits.
- Evaluates and documents payroll procedures.
- Reviews tax forms for accuracy.
- Completes employment verifications.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Minimum QualificationsThe requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
- High School Education, degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of payroll experience.
- Continuing education to remain current on laws and regulations pertaining to payroll required.
- Certification with payroll discipline is recommended/preferred.
- Valid driver's license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

- Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to take initiative in development and completion of projects.
- Knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

- Willing to enforce safety precautions specific to work area.
- Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.
- Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to set a positive example for others by consistently displaying servant leadership behaviors in daily actions and decisions.
