Job Description:
Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. (Loureiro) is seeking a Payroll Specialist to add to our team in Plainville, CT. This is a great opportunity to join an experienced, supportive and talented team of professionals who truly care about the people we hire. Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of pay.
  • Maintain payroll system and records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Monitor and reconcile payroll accounts, including managing deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
  • Work with ADP to prepare and submit required payroll reports to government agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data for payroll processing.
  • Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures, providing training and support to team members.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Manage year-end processes, including the preparation and distribution of W-2s and other tax-related documents.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure the companys payroll practices are compliant.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience; professional certifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Prior experience with Union payroll is a plus.
  • Prior experience with ADP is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Able to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.
