We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join the team. Job Summary: We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist who has also had experience with HR and general bookkeeping duties. This crucial role involves managing and processing payroll for all employees and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, the position supports various HR functions, such as employee relations, benefits administration, and onboarding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent service to internal employees. Duties: Payroll Administration:

  • Process multiple payroll runs for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain payroll records and prepare necessary reports for management.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Track and process deductions and garnishments.
HR Duties:
  • Assist with administration of employee benefits programs, health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • New employee orientations ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Handle HR-related inquiries and questions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and general HR functions.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)....preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree is a plus.
