Job Description:

The Payroll Specialist reports to the Director of Payroll and will serve as the primary resource for all 16 payroll companies within the Structurals Division. This position will be challenged to drive and enforce process improvement and best practices throughout the Division. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the quality control and data integrity aspect of the payroll processing, ensuring the accuracy of the data entry, timekeeping, completeness, and timeliness of the payrolls. Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the bi-weekly processing of the payrolls
  • Communicate and escalate issues or concerns as appropriate
  • Resolve employee issues with superior customer service
  • Audit and review all aspects of the payroll prior to transmission to ensure accuracy
  • Review and validate HR changes (new hires, terminations, employee transfers, status changes, etc.) and take appropriate action
  • Review timekeeping data prior to payroll transmission
  • Provide interpretation and guidance on policies as related to employee pay
  • Contribute to, review, and update PCC's current process and procedures, identifying improvement opportunities
  • Administer health club reimbursement program
  • Provide support and guidance for the payroll staff at the satellite facilities
  • Review pension, profit sharing, and 401(k) reporting
  • Aspects of position will require data entry
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform in stressful situations
  • Previous experience in ADP is a plus
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus
