Position Overview
The Payroll Specialist will assist with all assigned activities in support of payroll service delivery to one or more facility locations. The position will maintain relevant records in the company's HCM system, while ensuring all activities are executed in compliance with payroll policies, procedures and controls. They investigate issues & potential errors in relevant systems, make corrections, input entries into systems, and validate and record as necessary. They will also resolve, communicate and close queries raised by vendors/customers/employees.
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls and/or accounting policies.
Job Description
+ Verify timekeeping records and consult appropriate parties about any discrepancies
+ Record and verify all relevant payroll data and input prior to processing
+ Review employee tax status and tax authority assignment to ensure correct tax withholding
+ Prepare, review and deliver payroll checks and direct deposit pay slips
+ Respond to assigned ServiceNow cases (HCM ticketing), and communicate as necessary to department management
+ Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with documented payroll policies, procedures and controls
+ Ensure all payroll information is managed with full confidentiality

Experience
+ 2-5 years of work experience
+ Experience with payroll systems and software preferred
