Payroll Specialist:

WellSky has a Payroll Specialist opportunity available on our People and Talent team! A day in the life!

Key Activities:

* Payroll Processing: Biweekly multi-state on-cycle processing, off-cycle pay runs as needed, quarterly tax adjustments, and year end W2s.

* Track payroll submissions and organize back-up documentation for audit purposes. Evaluate system set-up to assure smooth transitions for teammates who are onboarding or offboarding.

* Coordinate with other payroll offices in India and Canada to supply reporting and time-tracking information that facilitates their biweekly payroll.

* Extract payroll data and reporting from payroll system for cross-departmental requests.

* Research and respond to teammate pay inquiries.

* Apply for new tax registrations, and review existing tax applications in payroll system to assure compliance with federal, state, and local jurisdictions.

* Coordinate with Benefits department for teammates on leave to assure proper handling of time-off requests and application of benefit payments.

* Enter garnishments and withholding orders, prepare responses to legal requests, and provide timely job verifications.

* Other payroll-related duties as assigned.

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

* 4-6 years related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of Workday.

* CPP or FPC certification.

* Bachelors degree in a related field.

* Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as needed

* Working in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures

* Performing other responsibilities as assigned
