Salem Media Group offers an exceptional opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in our beautiful offices in Camarillo, CA. This Payroll Specialist will be part of our Accounting and Finance Team and process bi-weekly and commissioned multi-state payroll, data entry for new hires, terminations, and other changes in employee status such as rate changes, transfers.
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Assist with month end close Provide excellent internal and external customer service and guidance Accurately maintain payroll database ensuring compliance with federal and state laws Perform data entry to process new hires, terminations, or other changes in employee status such as rate changes, transfers, and leave of absence or comparable Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely Process bi-weekly and commissioned payroll for assigned locations Special projects as assigned
2 years of experience in a public company Must have experience processing bi-weekly and commission based payroll Working knowledge of multi-state and local tax issues Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office High level of analytical and problem solving skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines Excellent attention to detail Must be extremely organized with a strong work ethic Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with others
