Payroll SpecialistNashville, TNUp to $85kBell & Associates has been engaged to search for a Payroll Specialist for one of our clients in the Nashville area! Our client is a leading organization in the Nashville area who is dedicated to delivering excellence and innovation. We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's dynamic team and manage their payroll operations effectively.The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with company policies and legal regulations, and providing excellent service to employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll process management, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with processing payroll through UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Processing: Manage and oversee the full payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Experience with UKG is a plus.Compliance: Ensure payroll operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting and withholding.System Management: Maintain and update payroll systems and records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.Reporting: Prepare and deliver payroll reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to management and external stakeholders.Audits: Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to payroll.Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to employees on payroll-related inquiries and issues.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Team Management: Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing training and development opportunities.Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and integration with other systems.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll process management, with a strong understanding of payroll systems and processes.Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and HRIS systems.Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, tax compliance, and wage and hour laws.Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; strong attention to detail; and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.Confidentiality: High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
