Under direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Analyst handles all payroll related functions of a company or organization. This includes processing payroll, taxation forms and benefits, as well as maintaining employee data, handling payroll questions, and completing any other tasks necessary for monitoring and overseeing a companys payroll process. This position requires an extremely detail orientated person with significant knowledge of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing new hires into ADP WFN payroll system.
  • Processing updates to existing employees in the ADP WFN payroll system.
  • Processing payroll entries received from employees and divisions into ADP WFN.
  • Answering telephone and email inquiries from employees and physicians.
  • Reviewing payroll reports in order to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting of information.
  • Printing and sorting completed payroll reports.
  • Redacting member physician information on completed payroll reports.
  • Creating ad-hoc reports requested by various parties within CWC.
  • Reviewing federal, state withholding and unemployment tax information for each entity.
  • Reviewing and reconciling federal, state withholding and unemployment tax disbursements made by ADP.
  • Advising of corrections to federal, state withholding and state unemployment taxes.
  • Coordinating tax updates, including amendments with ADP, attorneys and states.
  • Researching questions/concerns with various taxing authorities.
  • Creating new tax withholding and/or sui account numbers.
  • Completing quarterly BLS reports with employee counts by division and total dollars by division.
  • Reviewing and reconciling ADP quarterly tax reports including, but not limited to: Statement of Deposits and Filings, Quarterly Tax Verification Letters and Quarterly Wage and Tax Reports.
  • Reviewing and reconciling ADP annual tax reports including, but not limited to: Statement of Deposits and Filings, Quarterly Tax Verification Letters, Quarterly Wage and Tax Reports and W2s.
  • Creating and modifying payroll processing instructions.
  • Reviewing company setup structure in ADP to determine possible areas of consolidation/modification.
  • Coordinating consolidation/modification of company setup with ADP.
  • Completing and returning to requestor Verification of Employment documentation.
  • Updates payroll records by entering, reviewing and approving changes as appropriate.
  • Processes and Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts on a biweekly schedule.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Oversee internal payroll and accounting audits on a semi-annual basis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Three to five years of HR experience in payroll.
  • Excellent mathematics and communication skills
  • Experience with ADP
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Efficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Efficiency with ADP and Salesforce
