Responsibilities:

As an integral part of our finance team, the Payroll Specialist ensures the timely and accurate processing of weekly and biweekly pay groups of assigned company entities. The Specialist uploads all incentive compensation from multiple internal sources to the payroll system.The Specialist produces reporting through the payroll system to ensure data is accurate prior to uploading RSU SEC data per vesting schedule to ensure compliance under the SEC guidelines.

  • Processes payroll with data from time management systems of weekly and biweekly pay groups for assigned company entities. Maintains changes to and ensures the accuracy and integrity of employee hours worked and payroll data on a timely basis adhering to weekly deadlines.
  • Enters RSU data into payroll system and posts general ledger entries as needed.
  • Runs audit reports to verify accuracy of payroll prior to transmitting files.
  • Completes the internal payroll process control spreadsheets for balancing of all compensation that has been processed for that pay period.
  • Prior to payroll processing, ensures compliance and accuracy of time records and paid time off requests and accruals in the time management system. Runs interface in UTM to upload the hours into UltiPro system. Resolves access issues with managers and employees in UTM.
  • Conducts weekly and biweekly auditing; runs scheduled and ad hoc reports as needed; and reconciles various G/L and HR/Benefit accounts.
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of automated payroll systems.
  • Working knowledge of various automated reporting systems that work with the payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Understanding of common payroll practices with regards to the calculation of compensation by various pay plans and statuses.
  • Ability to understand and calculate overtime compensation for non-exempt salaried and hourly employees and the FLSA calculation methodology.
  • General knowledge of taxation with regards to answering tax withholding inquiries
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization and within teams
    • CPP or similar payroll certification preferred
