Job Title: Payroll Specialist Summary: This position requires professional training and a high level of understanding of union payroll. The position handles all administrative responsibilities for multiple prevailing and union wage jobs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs: •Process weekly prevailing wage payroll in online tracking platforms to ensure compliance. •Independently identify and resolve all compensation matters in regard to the payroll processing including but not limited to prevailing wage, manual checks, certified payrolls, audits, and inquiries •Work with branch office administration in the day-to-day administration of prevailing wage payroll processing of timecards. •Keep accurate calculations of prevailing wage rates. •Assist and communicate with Managers and Project Managers in complying with various prevailing wage contract requirements. •Partner and communicate with payroll personnel for allocation of correct rates, fringes, reporting classifications and holiday schedules.
Qualification/Requirements: •MUST HAVE Experience with Union Payroll •5 years' experience in complex payroll processing for approximately 150+ employees (at a minimum) •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) •Ability to multi-task •BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience
