Job Purpose: The Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll records. To be successful, you should be able to work with a multitude of personalities at various levels, highly accurate, sense of urgency, with a process improvement mindset. Description of Essential Duties:
- Prepare the company's payroll on a weekly basis.
- Ability to maintain confidential payroll and vendor information.
- Complete certified payrolls for various authorities.
- Meet compliance reporting deadlines (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Update prevailing wage information as needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance, including workers' compensation and 1099 reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Associate's Degree or work experience equivalent.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
- Experience with Sage 100 (formerly MAS 90) or Sage FAS, is a plus.
- Experience with 3rd party payroll systems (Paychex) preferred.
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel.
- Highly accurate and detail oriented.
- High sense of urgency, ability, and willingness to meet deadlines.
- Strives to automate processes and procedures.
- Spirit of continuous improvement and cooperation.

Sedentary position requiring extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are required. Constantly and repeatedly use of keyboard/mouse.
