POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple states, including New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, Massachusetts, and California. The Payroll Specialist will have one direct report and will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with ERISA, DOL, and IRS requirements.

You Will
* Review plan documents, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), and employee communications to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
* Administer payroll from start to finish, demonstrating comprehensive end-to-end payroll experience.
* Maintain a solid understanding of payroll taxes at federal, state, local, and provincial levels.
* Utilize ADP Workforce Now for efficient payroll management.
* Provide exceptional service and support to employees, People Operations, and Finance teams.
* Assist employees with inquiries related to wages, taxes, and deductions on their pay statements.
* Prepare and maintain employee records for payroll processing in ADP systems.
* Analyze payroll data by generating reports for management review.
* Resolve payroll discrepancies and errors swiftly.
* Manage payroll deductions and wage garnishments effectively.
* Coordinate with People Operations to ensure accurate employee data management.
* Collaborate with People Ops and Accounting to ensure all tax information is properly set up in the payroll system.
* Support employees with timecard inquiries and issues.
* Work alongside the Benefits Coordinator to assist the People Operations team with enrollment and other benefits activities.
* Facilitate the internal and external audit process by providing necessary support and information.
* Deliver weekly payroll reporting to Finance and senior management, assisting with month-end and year-end closing reports.
* Generate reports for weekly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
* Collaborate with external auditors during the annual 401(k) plan audit.
* Administer payroll records and ensure the accuracy of timesheet reviews.
* Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. $66,000.00 - $80,000.00
You Have
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, with 5+ years of payroll experience in a large company, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
* Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required
* Schedule flexibility is essential; must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
* Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (including v-lookups, pivot tables, and Power BI).
* Strong understanding of transaction flows within an integrated and automated payroll accounting system.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
* Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organizational skills with the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
* Capability to work independently.
Intellectual/Social demands:
