Payroll Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Vernon Hills, IL. Seeking strong payroll experience with at least 500-1,000 employees processing ideally.
Worksite Location: 100% onsite in Vernon Hills
Temp with an extension possibility and possible conversion to permanent
Pay: $25-30/hour (DOE)
Working Hours: 8-5
Responsibilities:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and processing payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Collect and verify timesheet data.
Enter payroll information into databases and spreadsheets.
Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Process direct deposits and paper checks.
Handle payroll-related queries from employees.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and employment regulations.
Prepare payroll reports for management.
Maintain accurate payroll records.
Skills:
Strong mathematical and data entry skills.
Proficiency in a payroll software
Knowledge of payroll best practices and regulations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and confidentiality.
