With five thriving dealerships under our wing, we are expanding our reach into the restaurants ventures .Job Description:As a Payroll Specialist at Beck Automotive, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the payroll process for our restaurant clients. Your expertise in restaurant payroll laws will be essential to ensure compliance and accuracy in all payroll functions. You will be responsible for processing payroll, handling related administrative tasks, and providing valuable insights to optimize payroll operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for multiple restaurant clients, including hourly and salaried employees.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations specific to the restaurant industry, including tip reporting and overtime calculations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, and garnishments.
- Reporting: Generate and review payroll reports, including tax filings and employee benefits, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and any payroll-related issues promptly.
- Updates: Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations affecting the restaurant industry, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR and management teams to support payroll-related initiatives and provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing, with a strong focus on the Automotive industry.
- Education: AA-Degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of restaurant payroll laws, including tip credits, overtime rules, and state-specific regulations.
- Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of payroll processing.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve payroll issues efficiently and professionally.
- Certification: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification is preferred but not required.
