We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for the Compensation and Benefits Department.
The Payroll Specialist is to provide outstanding payroll and benefits services to our internal members through our core values of human dignity, stewardship, sensible innovation, and craftsmanship. The Payroll Specialist must protect the confidentiality of our employee base (current, past, and future). The primary job responsibilities of this role are focused on supporting payroll and benefits processes for Credit Human employees.
When reporting to the Payroll Team, this role primarily supports the following payroll functions: maintaining all employee data, processing all biweekly payroll functions, reconciling payroll general ledgers, creating wire requests, generating reports, coordinating year-end payroll activities, answering all employee inquiries, and troubleshooting employee UKG system issues, all with precision and integrity.

Highlights:
* Prepare and process all bi-weekly payroll and any special payroll runs
* Create wires, ACH and check requests for payments made from payroll
* Prepare, post and reconcile payroll general ledger entries
* New hire and termination processing
* Setup and assist with all UKG employee profile access
* Support the Benefits Team by assisting with employee benefit deductions, administering Leave of Absence requests through established procedures, coordinating of employee termination processes to benefits when they exit Credit Human, preparing benefit deduction invoicing, and providing support of other human resource-related functions
Experience:
Required
* 2+ years of experience with compliance and reporting
* 2+ years in directly supporting products and services
* 2+ years in accurately processing data entry for employment and/or financial transactions
* 2+ years in posting and reconciling general ledger activity
* 2+ years of working within technology data applications (i.e., HRIS systems, payroll/tax software applications, financial services software applications)
Preferred
* 1+ years of experience in multi-state payroll processing
* 1+ years of experience in benefits administration
* 1+ years of experience with leave of absence administration
Education:
Required
* High School Diploma
Preferred
* Related Certification and/or Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent degree or;
* Enrolled in an accredited college or University
Licenses & Certifications:
Required
* Ability to obtain a HIPAA Certification within 7-working days of employment

Preferred
* Advanced Excel and Access skills
* Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws
