Job Description:

Summary

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the delivery of an effective and accurate payroll service that is compliant with documented procedures. The position is required to liaise externally and internally to handle day-to-day queries and manage the resolution of payroll matters in a timely manner.

Main Tasks

  • Must be proficient with ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
  • Experience with Smart Compliance and Reports in WFN
  • Payroll – hourly / salaried – multiple states
  • Manual process – uploading data from Service Max into ADP
  • Desired candidate must have excellent Excel skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Benefits experience a plus but must focus on payroll experience
  • Will be responsible for the set-up of the payroll system to ensure that the payroll is processed accurately and on time
  • Validates and processes payroll, including calculation, payment and settlement of wage-related fees, calculation of absenteeism and vacation according to local legislation, collective agreements and company policies
  • Responsible for the payment of legal charges and statutory withholdings, such as pensions, social security, income tax and labor dues
  • Acts as contact person for the company to third parties such as Tax and Social Security authorities, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies and payroll providers
  • Analyzes and provides payroll reports for management
  • Provides information to employees on payroll matters and tax issues and handles any queries
  • Responsible for keeping their knowledge on tax and deduction laws up do date as well as to stay informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process
  • May participate in special projects such as job classification, preparation and follow-up of wage policy and gender equality analysis

Skills

  • Interest in numbers, analytics and data processing and excellent excel skills
  • Great skills in human relations, positivity, motivation and initiative
  • Excellent communication and English skills, both written and verbal

Education & Experience

  • Applicable University degree or equivalent work experience
  • Good knowledge and experience of payroll systems and processes, wage assessments, wage policy, collective agreements and local labor law
  • Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
