The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mexico payroll department, catering to more than 1,200 employees.
- Manage a team of payroll professionals in executing payroll-related tasks according to predefined processing schedules for various pay groups, ensuring timely completion of payroll cycles and addressing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and holiday processing needs.
- Will support the implementation of a new Time Clock system and Payroll System. Supporting tasks will include mapping, scope analysis, desktop procedures, communications and marketing of the new payroll systems. Will partner closely with Human Resources.
- Adhere to established deadlines for payroll processing and reporting, including tax deposits, filings, and ACH deadlines, on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and annual basis.
- Supervise payroll functions within Online Time and Attendance (OTA), Time Tracking, and Payroll systems.
- Ensure accurate input of payroll data through manual entry or uploads, conducting audits to verify correct employee compensation.
- Address pay calculation issues for all staff in accordance with company policies and Federal Law mandates, resolving queries regarding taxes, garnishments, imputed income, pensions, benefit deductions, etc.
- Conduct data analysis through report generation and using Excel tools (e.g., vlookups, index match, pivot tables).
- Deliver exceptional customer service by meeting service level agreements (SLAs), promptly responding to inquiries, and processing requests in a timely manner.
- Resolve escalated operational or policy concerns.
- Ensure compliance by validating and addressing required controls as part of regular payroll processing (e.g., audit reports), promptly reporting any exceptions or discrepancies to management.

- Accountable for excellent customer-oriented services and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA). Also adopts a partnering approach to business needs.
- Continuous performance management and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensures policies, guidelines, and processes support service delivery objectives.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
- Ensures consistent documentation, storage, and updating of all processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- +8 years in Payroll Operations in Mexico.
- Min 2 years' leadership expertise on autonomous positions requiring service delivery in area of People Data, Time and Attendance and in-house Payroll in multinational company (production environment will be a plus)
- Bilingual profile. Fluent in English/Spanish (all interviews are conducted in English).
- Experience with HR/Payroll systems.
- Advanced understanding of Federal regulations in Mexico related to wages, taxes, social security, social law in Mexico, benefits, and other Payroll-related matters.
- Very good understanding of entire Employee Lifecycle processes for white and blue collars environment
- Experience in execution of payroll processes (in-house and/or outsourced payroll model)
