What you will do:
You will coordinate the processing of multiple payroll reconciliations and audits. In accordance with company policies, procedures, and sound business practices, manage the day-to-day tactical post payroll activities and supervise a team of three payroll ops specialists
How you will do it:
Accomplishes post payroll objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and counseling employees
Ensures that tasks are completed by team members timely and accurately, validates check lists, controls and audits are being performed
Meets payroll post operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system/process improvements
Review system audit reports and identifies and resolves discrepancies, oversees the post payroll operations reconciliations that are being performed and works to close out reconciling items
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
Accomplishes organization/ NA payroll goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment
Overall management of off-cycle and on-cycle payroll runs
Complete other duties as assigned
What we look for:
Bachelor's degree
5 years relevant experience
Proven ability to work independently with good analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes related to payroll (U.S. Canada, Puerto Rico)
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to analyze, solve problems and improve processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task successfully
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
CPP or FCP certification
Experience managing a payroll team
This is a hybrid position and will require working on site 3 days per week at our Glendale, WI office.
