Our Finance Operations team supports our group in all financial activities, e.g. regarding accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and corporate treasury. We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in AMERICAS at Westerville, Ohio.
Job Purpose:
The Payroll Support Specialist performs standard tasks to support the administrative functions within the payroll department. Answering telephones, scanning, working a queue in the ticketing tool, answering less difficult questions/issues, and assigning tickets for tasks requiring more research to the appropriate team member. Assists compliance with responding to garnishment & child support orders, as well as, responding to verifications of income and employment working with a third party vendor to completion. Performs additional tasks and projects based on department need.
Your tasks:
* Manages and responds to Tier 1 employee escalations via telephone or Case Management system.
* Answers simpler requests/questions from GSN ticketing queue or assigns to members of the team as appropriate
* Processes Vendor Invoices
* Completes and responds to Garnishment/Child Support Orders, including scanning of documentation
* Verifies Income/Employment via Equifax
* Sorts/handles inbound mail
* Supports processing team with manual check distributions
* Collaborates on special projects as needed or requested by management
* Leverages subject matter expertise to support customer inquiries while providing education on tools, process and policy, and source documentation
* Provides recommendations for process improvements and possible solutions to meet business needs
* Follows and maintains internal control policies, procedures and compliance with respect to the payroll process
* Responsible for managing a work queue ensuring that work is managed within SLA's
Your profile:
Education Level
* High School Degree or equivalent
Experience Level
* 1+ years of payroll experience, including expertise in a multi-state payroll environment
* Knowledge of ADP Vantage and Kronos Timekeeping, or similar time and attendance and payroll applications
* Ability to gather, analyze and interpret information for completeness and accuracy
* Communication skills (oral & written); ability to effectively interact with others at all levels
* Bilingual (Spanish speaking), preferred, but not required
* Excel Skills
