The Division of Finance and Administration is seeking to hire a Payroll Time & Absence Assistant (Temp). This position will support the Payroll Office with project related payroll tasks.
The Division of Finance and Administration contributes to Georgia State University's teaching, research and public service mission by providing the university community and the institution's constituents with quality services in a supportive and cost-effective manner. The division provides specialized expertise in the stewardship of human resources, financial assets, property and facilities in the assurance of a safe environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors to our campus.
This position will be based at Georgia State University - Decatur Campus

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position will support the Payroll Office with project related payroll tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Run and analyze time and leave queries and reports.
- Updates approved time reporter panel data.
- Provide backup support for Payroll Department.
- Interpret and respond to questions from other GSU departments.
- Monitor time & leave tickets to ensure all tickets are resolved in a timely manner and assigned to the appropriate resource.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Preferred Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to comfortable work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
