Job Summary

This position provides specialized support for the deployment and maintenance of computers, peripheral devices, classroom AV equipment, and campus events requiring AV support.

Minimum hourly rate $14.58

Responsibilities

Deploys and maintains faculty and staff computers and peripherals - 50%

* Deploys, maintains, and updates faculty and staff computer hardware and software.

* Maintains faculty and staff peripheral devices, including keyboard, speakers, printers, etc.

* Builds, updates, and maintains faculty and staff Windows operating system image.

Maintains classroom audio-visual systems and systems used for campus events - 40%

* Staffs campus events requiring AV support.

* Maintains and upgrades AV equipment in classrooms and campus event spaces.

* Responds to equipment failures to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Provides Admin support - 10%

* Responds to help-desk ticket service requests.

* Process quotes and purchase orders.

* Documentation.

Required Qualifications

* Associate degree required, or

* At least two years of related experience required.

* Relevant work experience in a college or university setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES

* Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions quickly.

* Technical and troubleshooting skills.

* Documentation, including taking inventory and completing reports on equipment.

KNOWLEDGE

* Knowledge of computer hardware and software deployment, updating, and repair principles.

* Knowledge of various types of AV equipment

* Knowledge of the installation, maintenance, operation, and repair of AV equipment in classrooms and event spaces.

* Knowledge of support requirements for significant events with high-profile participants and stakeholders.

SKILLS

* Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.

* Skill in interpersonal relations and customer service.

* Skill in oral and written communication.
