Patient Care AssociateJOB SUMMARY:
- Under the supervision of unit leadership and the clinical leadership of a clinical nurse, routinely supports the unit through the provision of basic patient care, clerical and reception services.
MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONSLicensure:
Experience:
- No specific experience is required. Lutheran Health Network Entities will provide formalized training classes; successful completion is required in order to continue employment.
- Additional orientation specific to unit responsibilities may also be provided.
Education:
- High school diploma or its equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a healthcare facility will be accepted in lieu of education.
Registration/Certification:
- CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) Certification within three (3) months of hire
