Responsibilities The Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for overseeing the pediatric in-patients assigned of Garnet Health Doctors. Pediatric Hospitalists are responsible for providing direct patient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, pediatric patients. The Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) is a part of the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. This continuum of care includes general pediatric medicine, consults as requested, and management of patients with various comorbidities. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conducts as well as acting in the best interest of Garnet Health Doctors, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. The position is responsible for the clinical excellence of Pediatric in Patient care services and for assisting in the development of programs aimed at meeting quality measures and population health management requirements. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $100,659 through $117,941 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. Qualifications Nurse Practitioner: Minimum Education: · Master's or doctorate degree in a nurse practitioner specialty area required. Minimum Experience: · 2 (two) years of Experience in a Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) setting preferred. Required Certification/Registration: · NY State Medical License required. · Active and Unrestricted D.E.A. Certificate required. · Certified by the New York State Education Department ( SED ) as a Nurse Practitioner or NP required. · PALS, NPR certifications required. · ACLS, BLS preferred. · Current Opioid Prescriber Training Certificate required. · Current Infectious Certificate required. Physician Assistant: Minimum Education: · Master's or doctorate degree in a Physician Assistant (PA) specialty area required.
