This position is benefits eligible.Shift: DayHours Per Week: 40Salary Range: Depends on ExperiencePediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) / OverviewThe UHS Pediatrics Binghamton Medical Center is looking to add a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to our Pediatric group practice.Full-time, exempt and seeking both experienced and new graduate Nurse Practitioners (NPs). Focused, collaborative environment.The NP will provide general medical care and treatment to patients in our medical facility, under direction of physician. Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Record physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition. Discuss cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Possession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the number
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
- Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting
Preferred:
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
License/CertificationMinimum Required:
- Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)certification
- Current NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education Department
- Documentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employment
- Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS
Preferred:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Possession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)Number
Salary: $115,300 - $135,600 AnnuallyWork Environment
- All work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Travel to other UHS Physician Practice locations may be necessary.
- PPE is used as required by Infection Control policies.
