Black Owl Recruiting is searching for a reliable and compassionate Registered Nurses in the New York State area for a very reputable client.
This will be a permanent placement. The home-care nurse's responsibilities include performing patient visits and monitoring their conditions, conducting tests, and writing reports for the physician. You should be able to address all the caregivers' concerns and make appropriate adjustments to the patients' in-home management plan.
To be successful, you should be a nurturing individual who can handle a wide range of tasks without being squeamish. Outstanding candidates possess the mental strength and resilience to care for patients and are also able to provide emotional support to family members if required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of pediatric patients' health status.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Perform clinical procedures such as administering medications, wound care, IV therapy, and tube feedings.
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient responses to treatments, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications.
- Provide guidance on disease management, nutrition, and other healthcare needs.
- Offer emotional support to pediatric patients and their families during challenging times.
- Advocate for patient needs and rights within the healthcare system.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the healthcare team and document patient progress accurately.
- Be prepared to handle emergency situations and provide immediate interventions as necessary.
- Follow established protocols for emergency care and communicate effectively during crises.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to pediatric home healthcare.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care delivery.
Compensation:
- $95,000 - $110,000 annually
- $15,000 sign-on bonus
Requirements:
- Associates degree in nursing or similar.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish
- Minimum 6 months of RN experience, with pediatrics experience required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Relevant license and certification.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to follow instructions but also to act independently if necessary.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Active listening skills and empathy.
- Physical and mental strength.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transport required.
