Overview:

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pediatrician specializing in Child Abuse to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The Hospital provides outpatient health care for children and teens up to age 18 on the campus and in community-based Family Health Clinics. Kings County operates a renowned Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center serving 2.6 million children. The hospital is academically affiliated with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

Responsibilities:

• Development and oversight of a new Child Abuse Pediatrics program, including inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic
• 50% protected time for teaching, research, quality improvement, advocacy and other scholarly pursuits
• Serve on the NYC Health + Hospitals system-wide Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Council to develop initiatives, policies and education on child abuse across the 11-hospital system
• Provide education and training to medical students, residents, hospital staff and community partners
• Academic appointment at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University available commensurate with experience
• Report directly to the Chair of Pediatrics with mentorship and growth opportunities

Qualifications:

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Child Abuse Pediatrics
