Community Medical and Dental Care, Inc.is seeking to hire a Pediatrician, andPediatric NP to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be a team player who can work effectively with other healthcare professionals, including our Behavioral health providers.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A compassionate and patient-centered individual with a strong commitment to providing child-centered care.
  • Board certified or eligible in pediatrics.
  • Active NY State license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Understanding of diverse cultures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in a diverse outpatient setting.
  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury in infants and children.
  • Advise patients, parents or guardians, and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
  • Examine children regularly to assess their growth and development.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on the medical condition and determine the diagnosis.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and parents or guardians.
  • Monitor patients'conditionand progress and re-evaluatetreatments as necessary.
  • Plan and execute medical care programs to aid in the mental and physical growth and developmentof children and adolescents.
  • Referthe patient to a medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary.
