Job Description:
RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a part-time (40 hrs/wk) Peer Support Specialistfor Morgan and Roane Counties to provide peer support to clients in our substance use disorder program. A High School Diploma or GED at minimum. If not a CPRS, must be qualified and willing to obtain Peer Specialist Certification within one year of hire. Requires F endorsement on TN driver's license. JOB DUTIESThis position will assist and support consumer self-help, advocacy, and education about co-occurring mental health issues and resources. Through Peer Recovery Support, consumers develop their own program to supplement existing mental health services or provide an alternative to those services.
