Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic and/or Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work one-on-one with patients in private treatment rooms, providing specialized care and personalized treatment plans. This is a full-time role with benefits, offering a competitive hourly rate ranging from $36 to $45 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with a background in orthopedics or pelvic health, and a minimum of 1-2+ years of relevant experience, are strongly preferred.Responsibilities:
- Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians.
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending outpatient or home health follow-up programs.
- Documents patient care services by charting in EMR.
- Maintains patient confidence.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts.1-2+ years of experience in orthopedics or pelvic health is strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, orthopedic conditions, and evidence-based treatment interventions.Proficiency in conducting thorough evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans.Experience with manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities commonly used in orthopedic physical therapy.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and achieving optimal outcomes.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely documentation.A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a willingness to stay updated on advancements in the field.Our client offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.Equal Opportunity Employer
