Position Overview:The primary function of this role will be to assist in monitoring and inspecting highway / structure construction projects for the PennDOT and may include construction inspection for concrete or asphalt roadways, structures, drainage systems, guide rail, MPT, and E&S components. Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow Specification 408, RC, BC, TC, and other standards.
- Review project plans.
- Review contract schedules.
- Complete Individual Daily Reports (IDR's) and other needed project documentation at the end of each day utilizing an iPad.
- Prepare work orders and estimates as per the Commission Operations Manuel (COM). Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, and experience with highway/structure construction inspection (TCI) with certifications to include:
- NICET
- ACI
- NECEPT Concrete
- NECEPT Asphalt
- IPAD/Kahua
- Nuclear Gauge Certification
- Civil Engineering Degree can be substituted for TCI experience and certifications.
