Position Summary The People Business Partner drives and implements People initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness, build capability and the talent of workforce and team while leading day to day activities of the People function to positively impact overall business performance. This position requires a commitment to working closely with business unit managers and leaders to enhance a high-performance culture and contribute to the company's success. The People Business Partner supports the Metrea Management (MAM) People processes, policies, and procedures to include payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation and compliance. Role and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with Business Unit leaders, people managers, and employees to provide guidance on policy, procedures and employment matters.
- Manages onboarding process for all new hires within assigned Business Units.
- Coordinates employee benefits related actions within assigned Business Units including but not limited to, initial online enrollment of all new hires, annual open enrollment, and employee questions.
- Manage employee relations actions, including but not limited to, employment verifications, leaves of absence, FMLA, employee counseling, and exit interviews.
- Line manager of a People Generalist, supporting them with day-to-day employee requests and challenges
- Process the day-to-day payroll operations to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- May prepare and process special payrolls (i.e., bonus, commissions, manual checks, etc.) as needed, to ensure timely payments to employees.
- Review timecard entries weekly to ensure compliance with established company standards and government project costing.
- Ensure internal controls and standard operating procedures are being adhered to within the assigned Business Units.
- Responsible for all new hire onboarding processes in accordance with established MAM procedures.
- Assist People Operations with legal compliance by monitoring applicable People federal and state requirements for the assigned Business Units.
- Responsible for maintaining proper posting of all State and Federal Labor and Safety publications at assigned Business Unit locations.
- Assist with maintaining Drug Abatement Program.
- Ensure employee benefits questions and changes are routed to the People Operations team for resolution.
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments with regards to proper accounting of benefits invoice payments and employee deductions.
- Assist with annual reporting for all People related items to include but not limited to AAP, EEO-1, VETS100, OSHA, DBA and 401k.
- Leads and ensures compliance of training programs for all employees within assigned Business Units.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned in relation People function.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues as a Human Resource Business Partner, People Business Partner, or HR Director role. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Certificates and Licenses: Professional in Human Resources or SHRM-CP Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs and HRIS.
