We hope all interested in employment here will strive to elevate our mission and our culture!AREAS OF INTEREST: Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.SUMMARY: This on-site, 10-week internship is intended to provide a 2025 college student with the opportunity to contribute to key strategic initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in the museum industry through organization development and change practices.This intern will have the opportunity to review data from the People & Culture 2-Year Roadmap and create a visual dashboard to display results, supporting efforts to track progress and measure impact. Additionally, they will assist with various strategic projects that advance the Toledo Museum of Art's organizational goals, including developing creative ways to engage staff through bonding activities and events, fostering collaboration, and supporting a healthy organizational culture.The intern will also play a key role in planning and executing the second Leadership Development Program, contributing to their own personal leadership journey while helping to build leadership capacity within the organization.Furthermore, there is an opportunity to provide behind-the-scenes support for TMA's podcast, including brainstorming topics, coordinating logistics, and assisting with production tasks.RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Chief Culture & Brand Experience Officer and collaborates closely with Objective Leads, Education, Marketing & Communications, and the Brian P. Kennedy Fellows. Interns may also have the opportunity to collaborate with Summer 2025 interns from other departments.REQUIRED: Actively enrolled college student in the year 2025. A minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate program completed prior to the start of the internship.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Education, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Experience with PowerBI is not required but preferred
  • Adept in using Microsoft Word and a computer
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Standard open concept office work environment with related phone, computer and printer noise; position may require stamina to stand for periods of time and the ability to leverage technology including computer, printer and phone systems; the person in this position may be required to communicate with public and staff who have inquiries and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
