A Better OpportunityOur dynamic People team is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join us as the People Operations Manager. We're looking for someone with the drive and passion to execute day-in and day-out, eager to partner and collaborate with the business. This key position will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our HR initiatives, contributing to the overall success of our organization.Responsibilities
    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with employees, management, and senior leadership team.
    • Oversee US HR, and collaborate with Better's Global HR leaders in India to ensure consistent practices across the organization.
    • Provide leadership to a lean People team, focusing on efficiency, reliability and effectiveness, through coaching and mentorship.
    • Manage the US annual performance review, collaborating with People team leadership and key stakeholders throughout the business to ensure growth and retention of personnel.
    • Deeply understand our business in order to provide customized consultation (not simply apply HR best practices) to any situation.
    • Collaborate closely with Recruitment, People Systems, Payroll, Immigration, Equity, and Benefits teams as it concerns the employee experience.
    • Work closely with People team leadership to action consistent compensation strategies, including pricing bands, promotions, hiring, and equity compensation.
    • Influence and shape our People Team strategy and policies to align with business objectives, including managing performance and compensation.
    • Champion initiatives, policies, and programs to maintain consistency across the organization and integrate creative, interactive solutions amidst ambiguity.
Qualifications
    • 5+ years of Human Resources experience with a proven track record of leadership
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred
    • Must have Workday experience
    • Start up experience a major plus
    • A go-getter who can self-manage and execute new processes and strategies
    • A scrappy & creative thinker; an optimist
    • High personal integrity
    • Comfortable navigating through ambiguity
    • Remarkable organizational skills and relentless drive to improve efficiency
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Thirst for knowledge and high sense of urgency
$115,000 - $145,000 a year
