Job Summary

The People Operations Partner serves as a key resource for employees and managers, providing expertise and support across all areas of the employee lifecycle. This role focuses on fostering a positive employee experience, driving organizational effectiveness, and aligning people strategies with business goals. The People Operations Partner collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute initiatives that enhance engagement, development, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations:

* Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding complex HR issues, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, and HR best practices.

* Proactively address employee concerns and provide coaching and guidance to foster a positive workplace culture.

* Manage and resolve employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.

Performance and Development:

* Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and ongoing feedback.

* Support talent development initiatives, including training programs, leadership development, and career progression plans.

Compliance and Policy Management:

* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, with an emphasis in CA.

* Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures, collaborating closely with our Legal department.

* Lead or assist with investigations into employee concerns or policy violations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

* Lead or assist with audits pertaining to all HR functions.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):

* Champion DEI initiatives and support programs that promote an inclusive and equitable workplace.

* Partner with stakeholders to drive strategies that enhance workforce diversity and belonging.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

* 3+ years of HR experience, with a focus on HR operations or as an HR generalist/partner

* Proficiency with HR systems and tools, such as HRIS and performance management platforms (UKG preferred)

* Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices

* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization

Preferred Skills

* Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or CIPD

* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, such as a startup or growing company

* Experience working in a multi-site healthcare organization

* Familiarity with project management principles and tools
