Description Position at Hood Industries, Inc. Hood Industries is looking for a People Operations Training Specialist to join our team at our corporate office in Hattiesburg, MS in the People Operations and Culture department. The primary duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assists with the planning, coordination, and facilitation of training initiatives across the organization.
- Conducts gap analysis to determine training deficiencies and recommended pathways to improvement.
- Creates relevant surveys and measurement systems that help evaluate the effectiveness of training and identify ways to enhance efficiency and adaptability within the organization.
- Utilizes assessment tools to create coaching and development reports for high-potential employees in the organization, working with business unit leaders to prepare them for next-step opportunities.
- Collaborates with managers and employees to determine training requirements and performance gaps.
- Coordinates with outside vendors to create unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulation, and videos.
- Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Assesses training materials prepared by instructors.
- Ensures training content is aligned with organizational goals, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Stays updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping employee information confidential.
- Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
- Performs diversified administrative activities in support of People Operations initiatives and duties.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 2 years of experience in Training preferred.
- SHRM certification preferred.
