Your Role As the People Services Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering exceptional people services to our ECDC fulfillment Team. This highly visible and interactive position plays an integral role in the workplace experience, by welcoming new associates, communicating initiatives, answering associate questions and providing guidance at all stages of the associate lifecycle while upholding our NMG Values. This position reports to the Senior Manager, People Services, Supply Chain. What You'll Do
- Champion Diversity and Belonging to build an environment where everyone is respected.
- Coordinate recruiting and onboarding services, including interviews and new hire orientations.
- Assist with managing employee relations issues.
- Craft and provide regular and ad-hoc communications.
- Administer FMLA, ADA, leave of absence policies, processes, and pay.
- Partner with leaders for performance management process and delivery.
- Conduct exit interviews and respond to unemployment claims.
- Support and educate associates on resources to drive their career growth and facilitate training.
- Maintain and update job descriptions, and associate records in HRIS.
- Conduct audits ensuring compliance with internal policy, and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Help support the People Services team by partnering on tasks and projects within other associate groups in Supply Chain and Group Operations as needed.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role (generalist experience preferred).
- Knowledge of major employment laws, and familiarity with the latest Human Resource trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Interpersonal skills and genuine customer service orientation.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization and administrative skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Product Suite (emphasis on Excel).
- Knowledge of Oracle HRIS, UKG Dimensions, ADP Payroll and Taleo ATS (Preferred).
- Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred).
- PHR or SRHM-CP (preferred).
- Mostly on site role with ability to work remotely, as needed.
